Creative Writing: The Urban Legend legend of the Webcam Hacker.

Warning: There is content below that might not be suitable for all people (mostly just the very young kids or the overly sensitive adult). Mature people should be able to handle it though, and I bet you are one of those mature individuals so enjoy.

OK so I was watching The Blair Witch Project 2 today (I didn't like the first one except for the end but this one's OK, I like how they changed it from being filmed documentary style to being filmed like a real movie. It also have the guy from burn notice who I think is a good actor, and Kim Director is pretty hot). This lead me to search for urban legends on youtube (mostly true stories Urban Legends on the discovery channel seemed like a cool show to watch) and that lead me to think back to my English class where we almost got to write our own Urban Legends (probably one of the cooler projects, I wish we did get that assignment). My original idea was to talk about fast food but today I thought of a better one that is more likely to happen, plus it also has a theme that's in many urban legends but it's also something I really don't agree with and it feeds on the fear that many other Urban Legends feed upon. Without further ado  here's the story.

Everything I am about to tell you is true. This happened a few years ago when my roommate, John was in high school  John loved women but unfortunately most of them didn't return the favor.John did enjoy his nightly entertainment though, a visit to his favorite pornography website (or fantasy land as John called it). This was just like all other days, but with one exception, instead of just exiting the webcam show that automatically popped up John decided to stay, the girl on the live webcam show was the girl he had a crush on a long time ago. "Wow" John thought, "It must be my lucky day!" John kept on watching while taking off his pants, "this is getting good". After John took care of himself, he went to bed. A few days later John got received a package from an unknown address. "This is weird," John thought, "I haven't ordered anything". But it was addressed to John and  without thinking he opened it. Inside was a DVD entitled "John". John put the DVD in his DVD Player and was very confused. "This is me" thought John, and indeed it was. The video showed John, face and all jacking off. It turns out that when John was watching the video his webcam was getting hacked and he didn't even know that the light on his webcam came on. When the DVD got to the end there was a simple message that came up. "Send me $5,000 within a week or I'll release this tape".

There, that's my urban legend, I hope you had as much fun reading it as I had writing it (I love writing these short kind of creepy stories).

Reminder for blog # 9: Be careful when you visit porn sites, you might just get blackmailed.
